If youfeel lost, stuck, anxious or unwell regularly or without a particular reason you might unknowingly be involved into a systemic entanglement of your family ancestors.
Family system, in systemic constellations context, consists of all the previous generations that made your life possible - direct ancestors and those who had an impact on family members' survival. If the system is in balance love flows freely through generations, past is in service of the future and you feel supported on your life journey. However, often the family system falls out of balance for various reasons and, left unattended, might create unwanted disharmony and sense of wrongness. |
Systemic family constellations is a one of the ways to restore balance in your family system and create changes in the present. |
What?Systemic family constellations as a method was developed by Bert Hellinger in Germany. It is now taught and practiced in many countries in Europe and worldwide, as part of private therapy approach or as a stand alone method.
Constellations are solution focused and experiential; besides revealing the hidden dynamics of particular issues they also teach you to listen to your body and trust it. Why?Systemic family constellations is a beautiful way to look at the real roots of some of the issues we face in life. It gives a different perspective and provides a new understanding of the dynamics that guide us in our decision making. It helps to reveal what is true for our relationships, and hopefully create shifts that would initiate healing and change. Your health, relationships, performance, business, personal fulfilment or lifestyle could be subject to systemic entanglements.
Constellations help to see a different angle of a familiar story. |
How?Constellations are set up to work with a specific intention based on desired changes in ones life circumstances. In a constellation circle we learn how to listen to our bodies through representing various family members, we learn to be in the present moment with what is and without any judgement or interpretation of what is happening. In a circle you will be asked to represent various family members. You might also have a chance to set up your own constellation. In a private session we use objects like stones to represent various family members. Private sessions are available via Skype too.
Both ways, in group and individually, online and in person, are effective and powerful. Some people prefer to have representatives and some choose to start with a privacy of an individual session. |
Who?Aleksandra Shymina is a London based systemic constellations practitioner. She has trained with the Centre for Systemic Constellations in London and with Daan van Kampenhout in Systemic Ritual in Mexico and Europe.

How do constellations work?
Constellation circles are the most common way to experience the power of constellation either as a representative or as an issue-holder. In our monthly circles there is a special emphasis on the experience of a group work in the 'field' - phenomenological process of looking at what is and what is not. Representing often provides a shift in one's understanding of oneself, their situation and family dynamics. Even though you represent somebody's family member, the role may be relevant to your own needs and desires.
The moment you set an intention to attend the circle the process of addressing your issues starts. Be mindful of themes that come up, people you meet and dreams you have. The same is true for a private session. |

Family Constellations Circles |
Private Sessions |
In a circle, after a grounding meditation, facilitator will open the space for anyone ready to have a constellation. After a short conversation with the issue-holder, facilitator asks her to choose people from the group to act as representatives of specific family members. There also can be representatives of phenomena, feelings, nature, symptoms etc.
Being a representative is therapeutic as, through it, one gets to work on their own topics too. Some people become regular representatives, in that way doing their own work. All upcoming circles are here. |
In an individual constellation, objects take place of people. After a short interview you will be asked to choose and set up objects (stones, pencils, pieces of paper, little figurines or anything available). You might be asked to stand in various places as representative and the facilitator might join this process.
Unlike being an issue-holder in a circle where you are mostly observing, in a private session you will be in a constellation most of the time. This provides a great tool to develop your attention to your body and mindfulness of every moment as well as receiving valuable and healing insights about the issue and its resolution. The private session takes usually up to 90 minutes and requires no special preparation. Sessions could be held on Zoom or in person in London. |
